The Plum Guide is building a marketplace of the world’s best short-term rental homes.

We are taking a systematic and obsessive approach to testing every single home on the planet, accepting only the top 1%. We do so by putting each home through The Plum Test: a gruelling hospitality exam, which uses a mix of algorithms and physical visits by hospitality experts.


We launched three years ago in London. We are now in 12 cities, we have vetted over 100,000 homes and are on track to reach over £25M in annualised sales.We are backed by an all-star cast investor group including Local Globe (TransferWise, Citymapper), Alex Chesterman (Founder of Zoopla), William Reeve (Founder of Love Film), Alex Saint and Troy Collins (Founders of Secret Escapes), Jason Goodman (Founder of Albion) and many more.

The Mission

The mission for our Sales & Reservations Executive or 'Matchmaker' is to match our guests with the perfect Plum home for their stay, playing a crucial role in terms of our Plum's industry leading NPS scores and generating revenue.


The Role

You will make the magic happen - you will handle inbound requests and enquiries from our guests.You’ll be the first port of call with people who engage with us, explaining Plum Guide and its benefits and wowing them with your local knowledge and love of travel.

You will speak to them on the phone, on livechat and by email. You will be able to understand their needs and what they will love and advise on the most relevant accommodation Plum can offer. You need to be speedy, able to multi-task and focus.


Key responsibilities :


  • Your core responsibilities will be to handle and convert guest enquires in order to optimise opportunities and maximise guest satisfaction.
  • To determine individual guests requirements and to convert those into confirmed bookings to promote Plum and maximise revenue.
  • To facilitate smooth and effective communication with all departments, ensuring a seamless, highly satisfactory and incomparable service including email, live chat and telephone communications.
  • Work as part of a dedicated team of sales and reservation professionals and handle contacts primarily through email and voice.
  • Utilise sales experience and telephony skills, to achieve sales and service targets across all guests.


Your targets will include:

  • Hit sales targets of 3X growth
  • Increase guest conversion every month
  • Ensure Plum guests are happy

You will be part of a friendly, hard-working, competitive team based in London and working in an environment that is focused on learning, improving and delivering.


Requirements

About You

  • Excited about being part of a rapidly growing business.
  • Have sales experience with an excellent telephone manner.
  • Are a positive person and understand what exceptional customer service is.
  • Availability to work full-time across a varied schedule on a permanent contract
  • Speak English fluently/to a professional working standard.
  • Have great city knowledge of London, are well travelled and have a passion for travel.

Our office based in Old Street is open 7 days a week and schedules vary. You must be open to being flexible in working hours.
