Paid Social Executive

Job description

The Company

The Plum Guide is on a mission to build the definitive collection of the world’s best homes. Through expert human curation and innovative tech, we’re taking a scientific and systematic approach to vetting every home in every city we open, and accepting only the top 1%. Like a modern Michelin Guide - but for homes.

We launched 3 years ago in London. Since then, we have grown 15-20% month on month; expanded to 6 cities; tested over 100,000 homes; developed a customer experience that’s returning the highest NPS scores in the hospitality sector; and are on track to reach over £25M in annualised sales.

We are backed by some of the world’s top VCs and angel investors who have built many of the world’s most exciting companies of today. These include TransferWise, Citymapper, BuzzFeed, Appear Here, Graze, Depop, SoFarSounds,GymBox, Zoopla, LoveFilm, Secret Escapes to name a few.

We’ve just closed a £14m Series B round of funding. Our focus for the next 12 months is on building an exceptional brand & customer experience; and maintaining hyper growth through an accelerated global rollout. This is where you come in.

The Role

We’re building a new team here at Plum Guide, to pioneer lead generation digital marketing campaigns that can supercharge our home acquisition efforts globally. Digital marketing has huge potential to become a pivotal part of the machine that powers the growth of the supply side of our business.

We're looking for a bright and driven individual to join The Plum Guide’s new host marketing team. You’ll already have had a few years experience working in digital marketing, with a focus on paid social.

  • Execute paid social campaigns to hit home acquisition targets across multiple international markets

  • Implement appropriate tracking and create weekly reports on the performance of campaigns

  • Optimise existing campaigns, launch new markets, test creative and landing pages; all with the objective of increasing the number and quality of leads whilst reducing the cost per quality lead

  • Drive budget pacing and bidding optimisation to meet monthly/quarterly targets

  • Research target audiences and where they can be found, and think of innovative new ways for us to reach potential customers

  • Own an ‘always-on’ process of data analysis to identify areas for improvement

  • Work closely with city teams to execute bespoke local campaigns, tailoring the host proposition to the idiosyncrasies of each market

  • Design the ideal host acquisition journey, from ad impression to application and internal processing to ‘test booked’

  • Codify the process of launching a city from a host marketing perspective and help compile the host marketing chapter of the expansion playbook

  • Once paid social (FB/IG) is established, we may experiment with other marketing channels such as direct mail, twitter, display etc. that could become viable and scalable acquisition channels for the supply side of the business.

Who we are looking for

You don’t need to have prior experience in hospitality or tech start ups. The important thing is that you are:

  • Target driven and commercial: you’re focused on your metrics and obsess about how to shift that KPI you’re working on.

  • Someone who is excited about having real impact, scarily ambitious and with an unreasonably high standard for what is good enough.

  • Highly analytical: can deconstruct problems logically and solve them using data, insight and gut.

  • Super entrepreneurial: You care about getting things done. And when obstacles inevitably get in the way, you know how to hustle.

  • “Product minded” – you think in terms of optimising the conversion funnel, and understand landing page experiments

  • A natural multi-tasker: able to project manage multiple campaigns at once, moving seamlessly from concepting campaign strategy to optimising conversion and architecting tracking & reporting.

  • A self-starting learner: confident teaching yourself to do things you have never done before.

  • You’re all about implementation and results; not just ideas.

  • Show passionate engagement in the latest marketing innovations and trends.

  • A team player and a positive, motivating person to be around.

  • An unparalleled opportunity to become an expert in start-up scaling: not only will you lead digital marketing activities in a VC-backed business.

  • If you make your objectives happen, you will inevitably be one of the most sought out talents in the scale-up tech space.

  • Genuine influence and ownership: you will work closely with the founders and leadership team in this role.

  • Competitive salary.

We welcome a range of backgrounds of experience so if in doubt, please apply.
