The Plum Guide is on a mission is to build the definitive collection of the world’s best homes. Through expert human curation and innovative tech, we’re taking a scientific and systematic approach to vetting every home in every city we open and accepting only the top 1%. Like a modern Michelin Guide - but for homes. 

We launched 3 years ago in London. Since then, we have grown 10-20% month on month; expanded to 6 cities; tested over 100,000 homes; developed a customer experience that’s returning the highest NPS scores in the hospitality sector; and are on track to reach over £25M in annualised sales. 

We are backed by some of the world’s top VCs and angel investors who have built many of the world’s most exciting companies of today. We’ve just closed a £14m Series B round of funding. Our focus for the next 12 months is on building an exceptional brand & customer experience and maintaining hyper-growth through an accelerated global rollout. This is where you come in.


The Role

We believe in creating the best experience for our guests and hosts while being able to move fast and operate at scale. This role will have a significant impact in helping us identify the factors the major factors enable us to grow quickly and what we need to improve at a granular level. The role will be intense and a lot will be expected of you, but you will have access to rich data and a front-row seat to learn how a company scales, solves problems grows quickly.


Responsibilities

The main responsibility of the Data Analyst at Plum will be to Perform Analysis on the business, maintain and create new dashboards,  cand build new aggregates tables to enable faster and more efficient working.

This includes:

  • Analysing data for insights using SQL, Tableau, Python or R would be an added bonus

  • Communicating these insights to business users so that they understand the impact and can create actions that address the findings

  • Writing SQL code for analysis and creating tables for ends users to use for analysis that allows them to do self-service within Tableau.

  • Creating automated ways with the help of our data engineer to pipe data such as targets and schedules.

  • Building dashboards within Google Data Studio so our operations team can see how they are performing on a daily basis

We understand that everyone has different experiences and skillsets and just because you might not fulfil all our requirements it doesn’t mean we won’t talk to you. Feel free to reach out and tell us about your Data Analysis experience and what you can bring to Plum.

  • We are looking for an individual who has robust SQL skills: 

    • Joins, calculations, sub-queries as well as being able to build tables/views.

  • You must have experience in using analytics software, creating graphs, tables, dashboards and understanding how end users like to visualise data.
  • A proven track record of a problem-solving and curious mind that is interested in investigating data for nuggets of insight that drive enhanced performance.

  • 1-2 years experience with a data visualisation tool

  • Some Experience in using Tableau would be a significant plus for this role as we have recently started using it for analysis.

  • Decent Excel/Sheets skills - index match, sumifs etc.
