The Business Development Manager is a newly created role within our B2B Partnerships team. This is an area of huge importance and huge amounts of untapped potential from a revenue point of view. You will be responsible for generating new clients within luxury Travel Agencies, Entertainment, and Production firms by cold calling, prospecting, and networking. Additionally you will instrumental in uncovering new business opportunities and building the B2B Department as we grow. With ambitious targets to achieve £1M in revenue per month by the end of the year we need someone with hustle and a natural ‘hunter’ looking who is eager for new challenges and opportunities for growth.
You will instinctively know when and where to be to create business opportunities and feel comfortable attending a number of industry related and client events on behalf of Plum. You don’t need to have prior experience in start-ups. The important thing is that you:
Have a few years of outside sales experience either B2C or B2B.
Are well connected and ideally you come with your own black book of contacts within Entertainment - Production, Music, and Touring - or Leisure.
Are a natural salesperson who is eager to develop and enhance cold calling, client meetings, networking, and driving each vertical.
Have relentless tenacity; The sales cycle can range from small, medium, and long term wins. This is an important attribute you have to be willing to work accounts until leads are generated.
See yourself as a People person; You enjoy building relationships and creating a bond and rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
Possess excellent time management and organisational skills. Balancing behaviours and activities are essential; from prospecting, selling, and account management.

Ideally have worked in the hospitality industry, however we can be flexible on this for a strong salesperson.
