The Role

We have an ambitious plan to open 6 new cities in the US in the coming months, in addition to LA & New York City which we successfully launched in 2018. We’re looking for the all-star team who will launch the new cities from our brand new office in New York. A city team is comprised of two people - an Account Executive and an Account Manager. The Account Executive is responsible for finding, negotiating and signing partnerships with the best property managers in their city that will help us achieve sales targets. And the Account Manager is responsible for the quality and performance of those homes once they’re in the collection. 


Responsibilities


The Account Executive position is an extremely dynamic sales role, where you’ll own the new homes and sales numbers for a city. You can expect to:


  1. Hit 15 tests passed per week in your city
  2. Perfect your Plum pitch to both B2C and B2B prospects
  3. On the B2C side, you’ll be pitching to and interviewing prospective individual homeowners who have been nominated to join Plum
  4. On the B2B side, you’ll be developing long-term partnerships with the city’s best property managers, aparthotels, and boutique hotels 
  5. Ensure all homes added will sell and delight guests, maintaining our high NPS targets
  6. Manage the CRM in an organised and detailed way
  7. Give partners a great, on-brand first impression of Plum
  8. Work with other city teams to leverage partner networks across cities
  9. Gather and share insight about your market to work with the city team on hitting sales targets
  10. Ensure every test booked has a chance of passing the Plum test and maintain Plum's design and quality standards
  11. Ensure all hosts who join Plum are aware of our ways of working and headline terms

Requirements

About you

  1. A salesperson through and through - you live and breathe sales, targets, and numbers
  2. Inherently competitive with a drive to succeed
  3. Excellent understanding  and use of commercial and brand-led arguments in your sales pitch and negotiations with partners
  4. Commercial minded, always thinking about what will have an impact on sales
  5. A people-person; you a natural relationship builder who will leave a great impression on hosts
  6. Comfortable talking about aspects of design, interiors, travel, etc.
  7. An independent self-starter - always looking to contribute without being asked to
  8. A problem solver - able to identify blockers or challenges and quickly overcome them
  9. A team player who works well with others, shares knowledge, and is able to coach other members


Requirements


You don’t need to tick every box but we’re looking for people with the following traits: 


  1. A few years experience in sales, with at least 1 year in B2B sales 

  2. A demonstrated track record of achieving targets consistently

  3. Experience pitching to and negotiating with SMEs 

  4. In depth knowledge of LA and its geography 

  5. Experience in the hospitality, luxury, or travel sector 

  6. In-depth city knowledge of one or more of the following cities: Miami, Boston, Washington, San Diego
